Vacation is Over - Write Using All of Your Senses
Ok, writers. I hope you've had a wonderful and restful summer. Now it's time to get back to doing some serious writing. No more excuses. To make the process easier, you may want to compartmentalize and prioritize your project. Whatever you do, don't give up. Take a walk during this beautiful autumn season and look around you. Mentally record the sights, sounds, scents, the way things feel, and the tastes of foods and drinks unique to this time of the year. Incorporate some of these into your manuscript. Keep your ears open to listen to the conversations around you. Watch people's body language. Watch their eyes in particular. Pay attention to the way you feel while you're watching and listening. Remember to use these things when you get back to writing to make your story more relatable. Enjoy and fantasize your success.
